THWAITES Brewery’s continued support of community projects in Blackburn has hit the right note with the town’s long-serving MP Jack Straw.
Mr Straw presented a smart, new sound system to the Ivy Street Dancers on behalf of the brewery’s renowned Charitable Trust.
Audrie Howard, one of the organisers pictured receiving the CD mini-system, said: “The old equipment was just too heavy, so we are extremely grateful to Thwaites for this fabulous donation.”
The evergreen dance group, which currently has 25 members aged 70 upwards, meet at the Ivy Street Community Centre, Blackburn, for two hours every Wednesday afternoon and are currently looking for more people to join.
