Thwaites and WPA Pinfold triumph at Design Effectiveness Awards 2012

Lancashire-based brewer, Thwaites and WPA Pinfold has scooped the top prize for the limited edition Signature Ales Range at the highly competitive Design Effectiveness Awards 2012.
The seasonal cask ale range was awarded gold in the drinks packaging category at the awards. The prestigious and authoritative awards are organised by the Design Business Association (DBA) to recognise, communicate and reward the integral role that design effectiveness plays in commercial success. They’re the only awards to use commercial data as a key judging criteria.
The Signature Ale design was created by WPA Pinfold and focused on clarity and style, to give the range credibility and stand out from the typically cluttered bar top.
Sue Allen, Thwaites commercial director said: “With so much competition, the presentation of our beers is just as important as the taste. Through the redesign WPA Pinfold has had a significant contribution to the growing success of the Signature Range.
“It’s fantastic news both for the whole company and WPA Pinfold for the Signature Range to be presented with this coveted award as it’s further recognition of the success we’re seeing in the cask range market.”
The awards were held at The Brewery, London on 16th February 2012.
