Thwaites First Out Of The Blocks With Cheeky Signature Ale
Posted Tuesday the 17th July 2012
Northern brewer Thwaites is hoping its latest Signature ale will have drinkers racing to the bar ahead of the start of this month’s celebration of sport.
Naked Runner is a 3.8% ale, appropriately brewed with First Gold hops and is named from days gone by when competitors were free to compete without the need to wrap up warm against the vagaries of a British summer.
Brewed in Crafty Dan, Thwaites’ on site craft micro-brewery, the team of medal winning expert brewers is confident though that Naked Runner will be a leading contender in a field of beers developed to coincide with August’s festivities.
Lee Williams, marketing manager at Thwaites said: “With the build-up almost complete, we wanted to have some fun with this beer and told our brewers to have no inhibitions when it came to brewing Naked Runner. They’ve created a lovely, summer ale and a topical addition to any pub or bar wanting to put drinkers in prime position for August’s sporting programme.”
Thwaites would be interested to hear what drinkers think about Naked Runner. Feedback can be given via twitter @daniel_thwaites.
