Food & Beverage Manager – Andrew Roddis
Joining the Cottons Hotel in January 2016 was a great time for Andrew to start at the Cottons Hotel; having opened up 30 brand new bedrooms the previous month meant that he joined the team at a very exciting time. Having spent the majority of his career in the North West, Andrew has proven to be the ideal manager for leading the Food and Drink team with a big focus on local produce. With our offerings now ranging from locally made gin, to black pudding, Andrew is here to make sure we do our bit to keep the flag flying strong for Cheshire’s food and drink reputation.
Head Chef – Adrian Sedden
With over 20 years’ experience as the Cottons Head Chef, you can’t blame us for always getting excited for each of Adi’s new seasonal menu’s.
It’s a long way to come from South Africa just to cater Brooklyn Beckham’s christening, so we’re pleased to be able to say that Adi has achieved a lot more than just that in his time here – although at a hotel in this area of the country it should never be forgotten!
Throughout his time here Adi has seen lots of changes to the team, and the building, but his passion for motorbikes has always remained, equalled only by the Rosette on the door.
Sous Chef – Joe Liptrot
Without speaking to Joe in detail, you’d be forgiven for thinking his life was nothing except nice cars, and Man Utd, however after coming second in the Northwest Young Chef of the Year in 2010, Joe has gone from strength to strength; working for Marco Pierre White, and Jean-Christophe Novelli was not only an unbelievable experience for a chef with Joe’s potential, but when this led to him cooking for Cristiano Ronaldo, this was the icing on the cake (excuse the pun).
Now Sous Chef at the Cottons Hotel, the future continues to look bright for Joe, and we’re all looking forward to seeing his influence continue to grow in our restaurant and kitchen teams.
Bars Manager – Toby Wilson
Having graduated through Thwaites Hotels ‘Management Development Programme’ while at the Solent Hotel & Spa, Toby has now established himself as Bars Manager at the Cottons Hotel. From gin gardens to cellar masters, Toby sets himself the highest standards when looking at delivering guest service in his bar.
For anyone who loves great service, with a large dose of personality, it’s always worth popping into the bar here to see what Toby and his team have thought up next.
Breakfast Manager – Catherine Allen
Catherine has worked here for three years as our Breakfast Manager having started in 2013. With her interests outside of working including baking and holding dinner parties, it’s no wonder to us that she is always one of the first names mentioned (in a positive light!) by many of our guest’s thanks to her friendly, welcoming manner. A local lass having grown up in Warrington, Catherine epitomises all that is great about good old-fashioned Cheshire hospitality.
