Funny Girls in Blackpool has thrown its weight behind a campaign in support of paramedics.
The North West Ambulance Service launched its #GetBehind999 initiative last month asking the public for its support in condemning acts of violence and aggression against all emergency service staff.
The Blackpool showbar was happy to lend its support and is displaying posters and beermats to highlight the campaign.
Headline performer at Funny Girls, Betty Legs Diamond, said: “There’s no place for abuse and it’s particularly sad to hear of people suffering verbal violence and aggression when they are just doing their job and helping the community.
“All of us at Funny Girls are 100% behind our ambulance service and supporting their #GetBehind999 campaign.”
