Middletons Hotel, York, has welcomed a new General Manager.
This is Adam Wardale’s first General Manager appointment and he is thrilled to have taken up the helm at the Skeldergate property.
He is joining at an exciting time, as the hotel is currently finalising plans for a major refurbishment.
Adam said: “Middletons is a fantastic hotel with an incredible history. The stories behind the different buildings within the grounds give it tremendous character and I can’t think of a better hotel to take up my first General Manager role.”
Adam started working for Daniel Thwaites, the company that owns Middletons Hotel, six years ago and has worked his way up from food and beverage assistant where he ran food out to tables from the kitchen and he developed a real passion for hospitality.
He has since worked his way up through various roles – most recently working in a company-wide role supporting all hotels within the House of Daniel Thwaites collective.
Adam said: “I was always driven towards hospitality – I love the different people you come into contact with, from guests through to local suppliers.
“No two days are the same in a hotel, there’s always a sense of excitement going into work. And with big plans afoot for Middletons, there’s no doubt that sense of excitement will continue.
“I’m looking forward to meeting people across the city and taking the hotel from strength to strength.”
He takes over from George French who has been promoted to another hotel in the company.
