Belonging
We strive for a genuine sense of community and belonging in our brewery, inns, hotels and pubs. From our people to our guests and partners, everyone should feel welcomed, valued, and a part of something special.

For over 220 years, care, craftsmanship and community have been at the heart of all we do.
We’re lucky to do business among amazing communities, landscapes and buildings. As we invest in our future we’re investing in theirs, too, making decisions that support local enterprise, nurture craft skills, reduce energy use and protect natural resources.
Our BREW principles guide our approach to sustainability and how we work together to care for our environment, and take responsibility for our legacy.

The Times Best Places To Stay 2026

Furnished with love
The Lister Arms
At our charming inns it’s not just the walls that tell a story. We’re restoring these unique properties using reclaimed and upcycled furniture, celebrating the old while creating the new – and saving previous resources for the future.

Powered by nature
Solar Panels
We’ve been rapidly rolling out solar panels across our business where it makes sense to do so, and you’ll now see them at Thorpe Park, Aztec Hotel and Lodge, Head Office and North Lakes. As a result, over the last year we have generated over 430,000 kWh of clean renewable energy.

Minding our hoofprint
Electric Charging
Unlike some hotels, we have had electric charge points for a long time and continue to invest in and expand our network. All our SPA Hotels offer convenient charging, so whether you are staying overnight, here for the day with a meeting, or simply stopping by, you can plug in and head off knowing your car is ready for the journey ahead.

Sourced with care
Local producers
From cheese and charcuterie to soap and ceramics, we love finding lovely things made in our neighbourhoods and sharing them with guests. Meet Andy and Kathy from the Courtyard Dairy below who supply our Yorkshire properties with Cheese, and lots of it!

Here’s a video we’ve filmed recently, celebrating the people whose passion helps make us who we are. This story shines a light on Courtyard Dairy, where Andy and Kathy’s care, craft, and love for what they do come through in every cheese they supply to our Yorkshire properties.
