21 May 2026…// Five-star Lake District hotel Langdale Chase, part of the Thwaites collection of inns and hotels, has been named one of The Telegraph’s ‘250 Best Hotels in the UK’ and awarded one of just 18 coveted Regional Star accolades across the country – a major recognition celebrating the very best hotels in British hospitality.
Selected by Telegraph Travel’s expert hotel editors and independently reviewed by a network of 60 experienced reviewers, the brand-new guide celebrates exceptional hotels across the UK based on location, character, service, facilities, food and drink, and value for money. Chosen from more than 2,000 hotel reviews nationwide, Langdale Chase was recognised not only as one of the UK’s top hotels, but as the only standout property within the North West region, earning the prestigious Regional Star status.
Situated on the banks of Lake Windermere, Langdale Chase has become one of the Lake District’s most talked-about luxury stays following its multi-million-pound refurbishment, restoration and reopening in December 2023.
