Thwaites partners with Natasha’s Foundation

Family-run hospitality group, Thwaites, has committed to a three-year strategic partnership with Natasha’s Foundation – the UK’s food allergy charity – to help support the Foundation’s vision of a future without food allergy.

6th July 2026…// Donations made by Thwaites over the course of the partnership will be used to support the Foundation’s campaigning, education and medical research projects.

Rick Bailey, executive chairman at Thwaites, said: “We are proud to stand by Natasha’s Foundation. As hospitality operators, we know just how important it is to raise awareness about allergies. By supporting Natasha’s Foundation, we hope to play a part in driving greater understanding across our industry and further afield, while helping to protect families living with food allergy every day.”

Natasha’s Foundation was founded in 2019 by Tanya and Nadim Ednan-Laperouse OBEs after their daughter Natasha died aged 15 from a severe allergic reaction to sesame.

Rick added: “When I first met Nadim and heard the moving stories of the many people who are afflicted by food allergy, we simply felt that we must get involved and do our bit to help, as well as redoubling our own efforts to take steps to protect our customers. Together, we hope this partnership revolutionises work around food allergy.”

One of the leading projects that Thwaites’ funds will support is Natasha’s Prize, a brand-new global research prize. Natasha’s Prize will award £10 million to teams of scientists from around the world to identify ways to prevent food allergy before it starts.

Tanya Ednan-Laperouse OBE said: “Today, millions of people live with food allergy. Food allergy has risen dramatically over the past 30 years, making it more critical than ever to understand the drivers behind this global epidemic. We’re thrilled to welcome Thwaites as a partner in our mission to create a future without food allergy. Their support is vital in helping us raise awareness and fund scientific research to improve the lives of those affected.”

Natasha’s Foundation is dedicated to medical research. Its goal is to understand what is causing the dramatic rise in food allergy – and develop ways to prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate it, creating a world that is safe for everyone.

Thwaites has been a family-based hospitality operator for nearly 220 years, with a portfolio of pubs, inns, hotels and spas spanning England, including the remarkable Langdale Chase in Windemere.
